Information on Application and Account

To apply for a credit card, you’ll need to provide some identifying details about yourself. To fulfil this requirement, you must supply:

Your full name

2.Your social security number

  1. Your Date of birth
  2. Your physical address including the P.O boxes number
  3. Your gross annual income as estimated
  4. Information of your savings or checking account

Can my friend’s card be authorised?

Absolutely. After logging in, you’ll have the option to manually add a new user. The credit card’s customer service phone number is also readily available for your convenience. To add a user, you must be both the primary and secondary cardholder. You’ll need to have legal authority to do this. In any other case, you’ll need to take on the role of managing a business account.

Remember that you can only add a user if your request has been accepted. While an application is being processed, you cannot do so. Although we do not currently support co-applicants, once your account has been approved, you will be able to add any authorised us.

Credit card application status

If you submit your application using your phone’s web browser, you can hear back from the company in as little as 60 seconds. Sometimes, though, we need to go a little deeper to get to the bottom of things.

The status can also be confirmed by dialling 1-800-903-9177 at any time. You should expect to hear back from us with our decision within a week to ten days after submitting your application.

I need to know when I may expect my credit card

If your application for a Capital One credit card is accepted, you will be issued a card. You’ll receive the card and details on your credit limit and other perks in the mail. Delivery will occur between seven to ten business days after approval.

However, if you’ve applied for a Mastercard and paid the required deposit, the card will be sent to you immediately. Within seven to ten business days of receiving your payment, you will get your card.

How my payments are applied?

When making a payment, we usually put it toward the balance with the lowest interest rate first. Amounts paid after then are credited to accounts with the highest annual percentage rates. Your payment will be applied first to the debt with the highest annual percentage rate (APR), then to the balance with the lowest APR.

What if my request is denied and my secure letter isn’t online?

It’s possible that your application for a credit card through will be denied. You can expect an online announcement. Although we are unable to accept your application, we would like to explain our decision. Please contact us at 1-800-903-9177 if you are unable to view the enclosed secure letter, which contains important additional information. The paper copy can be mailed to you upon request.
